And yet, more timbers and dirt!

It was time to get serious about the rest of the garden.
There was way too much grass to mow.

Another load of timbers, and we started to enclose the pond side of the yard in with raised bed boxes.
In this corner we had to work around a 36" flower pot. It took 2 hours to put dirt in back in 1998. We sure were not going to take the dirt out. Notice the arbor to the left of the pot. That is the only way in to the garden now.
This is what you would see if you came in through the back of the yard. The trellis was another project that started small, (two postts and a 2X4) and continued to expand to what is there now.
Looking in through the entrance, you can see the "Throne" at he far end. You can sit and admire both the pond and the rest of the garden from there.
The view from the throne.
There are more pavers and ground work to do, but that will wait until next spring.
Finally, a view of the garden from the kitchen window. It is a nice way to start the day.
