Year 2 - 1999
A year of rest!
The year started off bad, and went down hill.
The only thing we did was give some flowers a new home in the raised beds and pond.
This is what we ended up with.


Nothing starts the year off right like spring flowers. We loaded the two 3' x 5' beds with over 100 bulbs. 
Above is a water iris and to the left is a Lotus. Both plants winter over nicely. We put them in the deep end of the pond and have a de-icer that keeps the water from freezing.
The pride of anyone's water garden are the lillies. Pink is someones favorite color. Guess which color we have a lot of.
Oxingenators in ponds normally don't bloom. One of our's did. That is what the small flower above is. 
The year finally ended up good when we got a firepot for Christmas.

2000 would be a year of expansion.
Raised beds are like rabbits,
if you have more than two.....
